Marrakech Photography Tour: Light & Shadow

Marrakech is a photographer's dream: a riot of ochre walls, vibrant textiles, sharp shadows, and ancient faces. But it is also a challenging environment to shoot in. The light can be blindingly bright or frustratingly dark, and the local culture regarding privacy requires sensitivity. This tour is designed to bridge that gap. Led by a pro photographer living in Marrakech, this is an 'on-the-street' workshop. We focus on 'seeing' the image before you click. We will explore the interplay of light and shadow in the arches of the Ben Youssef area, the explosion of color in the Dyer’s Souk, and the timeless geometry of Zellige tiles. More than technical settings, you will learn the 'Soft Approach'—how to interact with locals, how to ask for portraits respectfully, and how to become invisible when capturing candid moments. Whether you are carrying a full-frame Canon or an iPhone 15, you will leave with a stunning portfolio and a new way of looking at the world.
