In Morocco, bread is sacred. It is never thrown away; if fallen, it is kissed and placed aside. Every neighborhood has a detailed system centered around the 'Farrane' (communal oven), where families bring their dough twice a day. In this workshop, you become part of that cycle. In a local kitchen, you'll learn to mix semolina and flour to create the perfect dough. You'll master the technique of shaping the round 'Khobz', layering the flaky 'Msemmen' (pancakes), and pan-frying 'Batbout' (Moroccan pita). The highlight is the walk to the Farrane. You'll carry your tray of dough, hand it to the master baker, and watch him work his magic with the wood fire. The smell of your own bread baking is unforgettable. We finish by eating it hot, dipped in local olive oil, honey, and amlou (almond butter).
